About James Sweet Bonsai
James Sweet Bonsai is a small mobile bonsai shop originally founded by James, lovingly known by many as Mr. Kim. For over 21 years, he has been privileged to share his love of bonsai with the welcoming community of Coalinga.
As of this season, Mr. Kim has stepped into retirement and is passing the business into the trusted hands of Mr. Lee who has worked alongside him for many years. With deep gratitude for the years of support and relationships built, the heart of James Sweet Bonsai will continue on—rooted in the same care, craftsmanship, and love for bonsai that he has always shared.
We remain located right off the 5 Freeway at exit 334 (Lemoore/Hanford), across from Harris Ranch Restaurant on the 198 State Highway.

Really nice selection of bonsai. The owner is very knowledgeable and has care sheets with instructions for watering, shaping and repotting . He’s very helpful and since I’m always driving to or from LA and Harris Ranch is my main pit stop, he said I could always stop by whenever I had questions.

Stopped by after getting some gas on road trip. It's a little stand across from shell at Harris ranch. Very knowledgeable owner with good selection of lots of bonsai. Very reasonable price. Will be back again

It’s a small little stand near the freeway. The man who helped us was very kind and helpful. He is very knowledgeable about what he sales. Well cared for bonsai trees. Definitely recommend!

My Dad bought me this bonsai on March 9th. I was grieving the loss of our 15 year old basset that we rescued when she was a baby. She passed on Valentine's day this year. My Dad knew I wasn't ready for another pet anytime soon so he got me this Juniper to care for in memory of Maggie. It arrived in beautiful condition and so healthy and has already grown nearly six inches in the long branch and about an inch or two on the bushy part. This was my first bonsai and I'm so proud of it, and I'm planning on going back to this nursery for my next purchase! If you purchase from here you will NOT be disappointed!

So glad I came across this bonsai tree shop on my way up north. The owner went above and beyond when I accidentally dropped one of the bonsai trees I had just bought. He really didn't have to, but he was so generous and replaced the broken pot and even arranged for me to pick it up on my way back south. Great customer service and great bonsai trees. I got three small bonsai trees and they are all doing great! Can't say enough good this about this place.
